Yu-Gi-Oh Competition
Here is a story by Ben S in Year 5. It is based upon characters from a card game. So here is the challenge. Can you write a story like this based on any of the characters. If so, type it out and let Mr Geraghty have the file. The best entries will be displayed on this page, and there will be little prizes for the best entries from each year.

The Homan and Cyfalc
Homan is a horse with a black tail, brown body and white mane. Cyfalc is a falcon. He has sharp red eyes that can see in the dark. Cyfalc sounds fierce but he is actually clumsy. He always misses when he attacks. One dark night Cyfalc started to attack the stables when Homan was resting. He dived at top speed, wings tucked in eyes in an aiming mode. He missed his target and CRASHED beak first into a bumpy field. He tried to cry out but his beak was stuck. Next morning Homan galloped out into the field. Cyfalc was still stuck in the ground. Homan saw what he thought was a post ready for the jumping exercise. It was actually Cyfalc, head down tail feathers and legs up. Homan was just about to jump when he noticed there wasn't a second post. He went to have a look. Homan thought that's the silliest thing in the world I've ever seen. He went up to Cyfalc and buckaroo'd him out of the ground. Cyfalc flew through the air and landed in the haystack getting stuck again, but this time his claws were trapped in the string. Homan realised it wasn't a post. He galloped over to the haystack and said
"Sorry about the kick, are you ok?" Cyfalc sighed
"Yes I'm ok! Are you a horse or a bull?" Cyfalc was alittle dizzy and couldn't think properly. Homan said
"I am a horse, you seem a little bit dizzy" Homan then helped Cyfalc out of the hay.
"Thanks! You're the best friend in the world" said Cyfalc
"Oh well I've got to fly but I'll come back another day. Bye!" Homans owner shouted from the stable
"Come on Homan it's dinnertime."
